Personality: At first glance, Kusari is a very quiet person and also a very shy one. She rarely speaks unless she has to, even then it's only a few words, and will sometimes hide beneath her hood so she doesn't have to speak; however, the only time she speaks really is when someone has a DS handy. Because of this, she doesn't have many friends but, with the friends she does have, she's actually quite overprotective of them. Kusari is a tomboy, a rebel against school, and a childish girl with a big caring heart. She is often mistaken for a boy, due to her clothes and hair, but is most often mistaken as a child; being mistaken for either of those is something she doesn't mind, but she hates being called a girl. And, despite her quiet disposition, she still tries to make herself stand out in a crowd. Unless she's trying to play a video game, of course!

History: Kusari is a very strange person; after all, what sweet kid would be followed by a malicious shadow? Yet, before a couple of days ago, she wasn't considered the least bit 'strange'.

Kusari is an only child and, because of this, she is pressured to make excellent grades in school mostly by her parents. But, truth be told, she hates school! She deeply resents it and is known to skip school, running off to Shibuya to go play games at one of the arcades or go play on her DS on the subway. Her grades may suffer, but at least she's not turning into another clone prone to send their life in a little cubical in a crammed office! Especially since her dream is to create those games that she loves so much.

However, someone realized that the childish tomboy loves games so much and heavily pursued her, at least until they got to play against her on her DS. Just before they took off with it. That red DS Lite is her most prized possession of all; even if it's just an object, it's something that she treasures deeply and will do anything and everything to keep it safe! Desperately, the girl chased after the dark-skinned, dark-haired guy that stole her DS. Fortunately, she found it laying in the middle of an alleyway; but, oddly enough, that guy wasn't there at all. Instead, there was a strange sight: a grinning shadow, black teeth unsheathed as it hovered over the tomboy. As if to skin its teeth into her skin and swallow her whole, it jumped over her and sunk down into the ground, leaving the tomboy unharmed but freaked out beyond belief. However, the shadow still did remain; as if it gobbled up her own shadow and now took its place.
